Begin your Celtic weekend on Friday at the Friends of the Festival reception in the Jefferson/Jackson rooms of the Holiday Inn Patriot, Williamsburg, VA. Be it for the wearin' o' the green, or the tartan, or Welsh woolens, the Friends of Festival reception is a wonderful opportunity to meet and greet your friends and make new ones, while supporting the festival. The reception begins at 6 pm and includes appetizers, beverages, and entertainment through 11 pm for $30 per person.
Traveling or just can't make the reception at 6 pm? Come to the Ceilidh (party, hooley, hop, dance) anytime after 8 pm when the party really gets started with a live band and light snacks for the rest of the night. The general ticket price is $8, $10 at the door. Children 4 to 12 are $4, $5 at the door.

Pageantry and Participation on the Parade Field
Gathering Day! The Celtic community invites you to gather with them around the main parade field for a day filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of the Celtic culture! This is the place to join in the fun by participating in the Haggis Hurl and Tug of War (everyone welcome), Children's Highland Games, crafts, performances and demonstrations. Don't miss the pageantry and excitement of the opening ceremonies at 10 am with massed bands, Miltary recognition, and more. A veritable pipe lover's paradise!
Celebrate Celtic Culture in the Traditional Pub
Celtic music, storytelling, and dance make you happy? Join your fellow travelers for song and libations at the Trad Pub all day long 10 to 6. The schedule is being developed. Your favourite Celtic Whisky and Whiskey will be available and don't forget the Irish coffee to start the day! Also visit the pub to buy your raffle tickets for the gift baskets generously provided by our sponsors and vendors, and for the 50/50!
A Gathering of Celtic Traders
Need ghillies or brogues? Your sporran looking worn? Maybe you've just run out of black currant juice and your selection box is empty! Our Celtic traders have just what you are looking for or will get it for you! The traders are ready with holiday gifts, one of kind arts and crafts, food and drink to meet every Celtic (and American) craving!
Celtic Jam in the Rockadome
Soul stirring pipes and drums, Irish fusion, and more are on tap for the Saturday Night Rockin' and Reelin' Ceilidh Concert. The Rockadome opens at 6 pm for an evening full of Celtic music, dance, and happiness! If you are not able to join us for the whole day, come on out for the concert after 6 for a reduced entry fee of $10. Bring the family and friends!

Candyce Dunham conducts Open Celtic harp competitions for beginner through master. Early Scottish Music, Harp and Vocal, and Harp in Ensemble are samples of the Special competition categories. Each competitor is asked to register online and will be provided an entrance ticket as part of their $15.00 registration. Current SHSA membership is required for competition registration. If you are interested in Harp, but not ready to compete, stop by for the competition and ask about the workshops; Harp For All. Located near the Parade Field.
Highland Dance Competition
Celebrating their 35th anniversary at the gathering, the Highland Dance Competition is one of the most colorful and athletically challenging events in the Games! Located in the
Highland Dance Pavillion.Heavy Athletics Competitions
Highland Athletes square off to show their strength and agility with the stone toss, the caber toss and more Highland athletic events. This year you can "sponsor" an athlete. Stop by the Celtic Curious? One-Stop-Shop on the web to pick out your favourite!

Virginia Celtic Gatherng and Highland Games tickets for all venues on Saturday are now on sale at the Celtic Curious? One-Stop-Shop: $12 adult (18+), $5 youth (13 to 17), wee bairns (12 and under) are our guests. Active Duty Military can pick up a free ticket at their MWR Ticket and Tours office. DoD MWR eligible can get discounted tickets at their MWR Ticket and Tours. Gate prices for all will be $15 for adults and $5 for youths.
